***If you are enrolling in individual courses for a certificate program, license renewal, transfer to another university, salary advancement or documentation of professional development, complete the online registration form.
You do not need to apply for graduate admission to the university. Only students who are beginning a masters degree program at University of Wisconsin-Stout need to complete the graduate application process.

STEP 1: Complete the secure online registration request form. Please proofread your home and work email address information carefully on the registration request form as your confirmation will be emailed to those addresses. NOTE: Tuition is the same fee for in-state, out-of-state and international participants. Mark university billing and no payment is due until the semester begins. If you provide credit card information, your credit card payment will be processed on the day that you register online. Registration Confirmation: If you are a new student at UW-Stout, watch for an email from Darci Ward in the Registrar's Office describing how to login and complete the Fee Payment Agreement online. She will email you approximately 2 business days after you submit your registration request. Payment Options
Option 1 University Billing
If you select university billing, your university bill will be emailed to your university email account one month before your course begins.
No bills will be sent via postal mail.
Payment options: e-check, check, money order, employer purchase order, or credit card
Tuition is due in full by the 5th day of the semester unless you select the Payment Plan.
Payment Plan for spring semester:
- First payment, 10 percent, due January 29
- Second payment, remaining balance, due February 28
- Finance charge of 1.5% on unpaid balance after February 28
Option 2 Credit Card
If you provide credit card information on the registration request form, your credit card payment will be processed on the day you register online.
Billing Questions and Receipt for Tuition Reimbursement
If you have a question regarding payment and billing or need a receipt for tuition reimbursement, email Darci Ward Outreach Services - Continuing Education office or call Darci at (715) 232-5167.
Drop Procedure
If, after submitting the registration form, you find that you need to drop the class before the first day of class, send a cancellation request by email to wardda@uwstout.edu (Telephone cancellations cannot be accepted).
UW-Stout Withdrawal Policy
Administrative Fee: If you withdraw during the first two weeks of the semester, an administrative fee, (withdrawal fee), will be assessed for processing the withdrawal. The fees are $50.00 in the first week, $100.00 in the second week, or 5% of institutional charges, whichever is less.
UW-Stout Refund Policy
For 3-4 week courses:
100% refund if the course is dropped during Week 1
25% refund if the course is dropped during Week 2
0% refund if the course is dropped after Week 2
For 5-7 week courses:
100% refund if the course is dropped during Week 1
50% refund if the course is dropped during Week 2
0% refund if the course is dropped after Week 2
For 8-11 week courses:
100% refund if a course is dropped during
Week 1
50% refund if the course is dropped during Week 2
25% refund if
the course is dropped during Week 3
No refund is granted beyond the third
week of the course.
